Centennial
Park (run 2 on map): 3 miles; Run a
loop around the flat, paved road that circles the lake and Nashville's
famous, full-scale Parthenon. The park's main entrance marks the Country
Music Marathon starting line.

Shelby
Bottoms Park (run 3 on map) : 7.5 miles;
Start at the bridge in Shelby Bottoms Park and run along the flat,
paved greenway that traces the Cumberland River. Spot Opryland's General
Jackson Riverboat along the way.
Farmer's
Market (run 4 on map) : 2.5 miles;
From the Farmer's Market, run up 7th Avenue and through the historic
Germantown neighborhood. Turn right onto Taylor Street, 5th Avenue,
Harrison Street, and finish on 7th Avenue. The Market is open year
round, so be sure to finish your run with a carb-loaded treat.

Greenway. All distances and paces are welcome. You can easily get
in an 8 – 10 mile loop. It does have a very challenging hill.

Many other fun runs
start in Belle Meade. Presently, none are scheduled, but you can find
many other runners here. At the end of Belle Meade Boulevard, look
for the stone gates (see photo below). Park on the park side of the
gates. You can run in the park, where there are 3, 6 and 11 mile loops.
Very scenic but very hilly. Alternatively, you can run down Belle
Meade Boulevard. It is gently rolling, and approximately 3 miles to
Harding Road. You must run against traffic along the median, single
file. The Belle Meade police have been known to ticket offenders!
